"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” Matthew 7:7-8.

The Haven Missionary Care Center is a non-denominational ministry to evangelical, Christ-following missionaries.

Our goal is for all our guests to stay free of charge. If you desire to donate, the suggested donation is $25/day per teen and adult guests.

While visiting The Haven our prayer is that each guest be ministered to by the Holy Spirit. There is no specific agenda for your activities although we do encourage plenty of time to rest and catch your breath in the midst of ministry. We will provide details regarding shopping, restaurants, and recreation in our area. Again, the goal of The Haven is to provide a place for you to meet with the Lord and refresh spiritually and physically. If you want to get away to the Outer Banks with your family for a day, we have information for that purpose.

Yes, we have built an extensive library of books and DVDs for that purpose. You are welcome to use our library during your visit, however, these items are not available for you to check out and take with you. We also have a large assortment of children’s books, games, and puzzles.

No. We are unable to accommodate pets.

No. At this time The Haven is not equipped to accommodate handicapped persons. Access to our guest accommodations requires climbing 16 steps.

Upon your arrival, we will provide a meal, snack or beverage, depending on your needs. We also provide breakfast and lunch items for you to prepare on your own. We invite you to join our family for the evening meal (most evenings around 6:30pm). Some nights we simply "forage in the fridge." You will have the use of a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your own food. Groceries are available at several nearby shops or at our closest WalMart/Food Lion/Piggly Wiggly (about 20 minutes away). There are two local restaurants with limited hours within 10 miles and a variety of fast food establishments in nearby Ahoskie.

Guests may stay for a maximum of two weeks. We are much more than a place to find lodging in your travels. We encourage at least a two-night visit in order to accomplish the ministry for which we believe God has set us apart. Our vision is to see Christian missionaries and pastors refreshed through personal and spiritual renewal. Our prayer is for you to rise to your full potential of ministry as you return to your field of service.

We provide towels, linens, and pillows. There are plenty of sample toiletries for your use, as well. A washer and dryer are available for our guests during your stay. There is a laundromat nearby for large items like sleeping bags and quilts. Please bring your personal clothes and food if you are on a special diet.
